3.1 Funds Aren\u2019t FDIC Insured<\/h3>\n

Cash App isn’t a traditional bank and so it’s not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).<\/p>\n

This means that funds held in a Cash App account are not insured by the FDIC in the same way that funds in a traditional bank account would be.<\/p>\n

This is a pretty big limitation. Funds held in a Cash App account aren’t insured against loss or theft. So if a user’s account is hacked or if the company experiences technical issues that result in a loss of funds, the user may not be able to recover their lost funds.<\/p>\n
